Remember the previous post, I said I'd tell ya all abt Destination ImagiNation (AKA DI)? Ya... here it is now in some of my words and some of NOT my words.

Well... DI is fun, time, team work, problem solving, rush, disappointment, USA, pin trading, aeroplanes, and most importantly, DUCT TAPE! (don wory is juz a type of tape!)

So there was this audition cuz in each team there could only be 7 people at most. And OBVIOUSLY i wuz in... our team JUZ NICE 7 ppl! So then we chose a challenge. Im too lazy to describe. :D So we did all our preparations for the 1st competition in Singapore. The best teams in each category are picked to go to the US! So... on the day of the competition we went to RI! We perform, very nervous leh! Jump here jump there cant sit down haha. Anyway... was fuuun!

And we pass lah.

We dismantle the props and then find box to put them in.
Then we flllllyyyyyyyyyy to US.
It was fun.

But I dunno how to express in words.

Then we reassemble the props
and practice
and traded pins with people from other countries,
and had fun chilling out in our rooms.

Hey! Today gonna tell you 2 events...

Monday- I forgot there was the Road Safety Park games, but anyway it was ok! So we went and there was something like amazing race. There were the pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. Cyclists and drivers are supposed to cycle or drive go-karts and pedestrians will just walk. The pedestrians will have to make sure they do not get "knocked down" and the cyclists and drivers are to try not to "knock down" the pedestrians. So, once we were ready to go, we started walking (I was pedestrian). We went to 5 stations where there were questions, and when we answered them correctly, the marshalls at the station will sign our paper. The marshalls would also look out for when we did not abide by the road safety rules, we would be given demerit points. But luckily, me and my friend did not get any demerits, yahoo! When we got back we were allowed to rest and juz laze around. So thats exactly wad we did! Haha. Very fun. Hope we will get the certificate. Only the 4/5 best ppl in the class will get... unfair?!? We DID take part, afterall!

Tuesday (today)- Today was the day of the presentation about Destination Imagination! (will tell ya abt it next post) Teacher asked us to be there at 6.50. I was there 20 minutes earlier, my frenz all say I enthu LOL. Then we wore our costumes, and TADA! started to present. So fun! After the last slide, the video of our presentation in the US (abt Destination Imagination agin, not to wury) was shown. At that time, me and my friend ran up to class to get the card! We were like, so gan chiong LOL. Like so... anxious lor. Afraid teacher would see us etc. But anyway we got the card. Our members said our teacher didnt even realize we were missing, LOL! NVM so fun! We were all like, hurry up, get the card! And also like, slow down, video! But then in the end the principal took the stage so cant present on stage liao lor. So we went backstage, then someone started "Um teacher..." "Wad?" "We made a card for you..." [Presents the card"] LOL! :D Glad we came up with the idea. Very creative hor? LOL Thats DI for u!

Lots of things happened today! Lemme explain a lil' bit...

Today, 21 of July, is...
A festival day. Lemme describe the day, and u can try to guess, then I will give ya the answer!

Anyway, many of my friends and schoolmates were wearing costumes for example Cheong Sams and Kebayas. It was... very "colourful" in our school! Red and pink and white was everywhere! The lower primary were very excited, too.

After morning assembly, we all returned to class. I tried to concentrate in class, but I was secretly anticipating the events during the later part of the day. I think EVERYONE could not concentrate! After the seemingly interminable wait, it was time for reccess! Today was special- today, our reccess would be for 1 hour and there would be little "food stores" set up in the canteen and "game stores" set up in the foyer!

Once we were dismissed, we quickly went for reccess. We could smell the satays cooking, we could hear our friends playing... most of all, we could sense the excitement in everyone! There were satays at 3 for $1.20, fishballs at 3 for $1, Muah Chee at a bowl for $0.50, Ice/Jelly pops for $0.50 per stick, and much, much more! I tried some of the food, but the queues were so long that it seemed we would never get our food.

Finally, after eating, we went to the foyer to chat, and watch as our friends played the games. There were games like congkak, chapteh and snake and ladder. Unfortunately, we had no time to try any of the games as we had to assemble at the hall. Waiting for us in the hall, were dancers and emcees and presenters etc. We watched a few dances, Malay and Indonesion. I think that the Indonesion one was... scarier because the dancer, as part of the dance, would do something to his eyes. I am not criticizing the dance but because I wasnt used to it, it sorta looked weird and scary for me. There was also a sharing on the Pen Pal programme by our fellow schoolmates, and finally a presentation about ______ __________ _____ (PS- I will only reveal these 3 words at the end of the post!).

After the great performance, we went back to class and continued class... until the end of school. Then, my gd friend had to stay back so I went home on my own. As it was raining, I stopped to take my umbrella out. Just then, my... "enemy cum friend" (LOL) came forward... lemme tell u how we became ... wad we are now...

Riing! The dismissal bell rang. We had just finish filing for math and my Then Best Friend (my Now Enemy Cum Friend) was trying to clear up her table. To help, I picked up her math file and put it back in the shelf for her. She seemed to be angry and was angry eva since...

LOL! That was lame... but sorta true :D
OK so SHE came up to me, asked if I wanna go Jurong Lib with her. I couldnt as... my mom wouldnt allow so I juz... said no. But we took the same bus, and on the bus, although aawkward, we had a great chat, laughing as if we had been best friends for years. Haha. It was like, Santa Claus fulfilled my wish 5 months early of Christmas. Haha! Anyway, if I can (and I've asked the permission of my mom) next time I will invite her to go to Jurong Lib agin. Sounds fun!!!
